We're going to vegas baby!
The date will be in June.
June 20th to June 22nd.
So this is the thread to commit to going to vegas.
Group Discounts:
Our cut off date for group discounts will be May 01. There's a lot of great ways to get discounts for going as a group. It applies to airline tickets, hotel rooms, and events in vegas.
So in an effort to try to find the lowest price for everyone involved we want to start reserving and putting money down a month prior to the event.
You can still go regardless if you want to take part of the group discounts or not and join us as we turn Vegas into black and red!
Whose going:
Ragter
Brewz (+1)
pea'ches
Rivett
Maybe:
Isbah

Just a thread to help with the retaking of stickling mall.
I've started the process of getting all the building surrounding stickling repaired and up to EHB - what appears to be happening is people (i'm assuming zombie groups) are barricading ruined buildings so we can't free run about without injuring ourselves.
We get the surrounding buildings patched up its easy pickings to run in and run back out - they don't have the numbers to both hold the mall and attack surrounding areas.
So as of today (the 29th January) I've cleaned out and repaired st lukes cathedral - the next step is doing the same for the bridal museum - that means we'll have a clear free run in from our bases in brooke hills. so not to ruin our AP running back & forth.
I'm suggesting we use Sheldon Lane police station as a staging area - that means its 6ap to get to stickling and back - that gives us a max of 38 ap to use in the mall - enough to take down at least one zombie and heavily damage another one.

It has been a longtime coming, as someone who has worked his ass off for all of us. From bringing us things to make all of our tech much more accessible to all our members, to being someone we all know and trust.
He has been integral in all things AoA for several years, and with this he will be in a position to continue help us grow and evolve as a community.
I for one, welcome our new robot integration overlords. Into the future we go, may the highly improbable have mercy on our butts.

[/FLOAT]Greetings, AoA!
Before I hop on my boat to the Superbowl (viewing "party" in a small two bedroom apartment) I thought it would be a good time to give an update on how the new web site is holding up, dump some random statistics on you because I love statistics, and tell you about some things that are coming up.
It's been quite a ride since I signed on with AoA back during the Star Trek Online beta and the face of AoA (our web site) has changed a lot since then. Back then in the before time, in the long long ago, the site was run on a combination of a Joomla CMS front page and phpBB forums. It served everyone well but as we grew it became apparent we needed something more powerful and professional looking. @mynameismonkey entrusted me to take point on an upgrade to vBulletin, which had just come out with a fresh new version that integrated a CMS front page out of the box. Many of us had been using vBulletin 2 and 3 for years with great results. It was one of the most popular commercial forum products on the web. vBulletin 4 would turn out to not live up to the reputation of its predecessors. Slow response times, complete breakages, clunky visual styles, and security breaches became the norm over just the occasional headache. This is the story that's led us up to today, with heaps of analytical data from our new site and nothing but good news to report.
So far XenForo has been an absolute treat to work with. Our new host is fantastic. All the numbers are in the green and we're running the AoA web backbone with great efficiency. We're paid up on hosting for the next year and we already have the funds in place for the year after with some surplus for other software that may catch our eye. But enough fluff, on to the reason you're really here, the charts!
The tl;dr of it is our traffic is very steady, our site is extremely responsive, due to server optimizations we use an insignificant fraction of our allotted bandwidth each month, I am a spam-control ninja, and people get to our site with some really fuckin' weird search terms...

We have secured the unique AoA Organization ID (only capital letters on their system) and the All Out Assault name in Star Citizen. We are now open to accept members from AoA game backers and those who want to or already have build a SC forums profile/handle to follow the game's development.
Feel free to drop by and "apply" to the guild, for now i will handle accepting membership there. Just mention you're an AoA member in your app in case i don't recognize your SC handle.

Thinking about giving EQ2 a try for a while. I know it's dated, but it's also all new quests for me, since I've never left the tutorial area.
Does anybody enjoy this game and have some advice/interest in playing? Any advice on good classes for soloing and occasional PUG grouping, since I'm unlikely to play it enough to reach endgame and do serious raiding before EQN comes out?
